VBS Frequently Asked Questions

How old does my child need to be to participate?
Children must be at least three years old by August 2023 and fully potty trained by the first day of VBS in order to participate. VBS is open to those through sixth grade. Accommodations can be made for children with special needs. Children under the age of three are invited to attend if their parent is serving at VBS as a volunteer.

Can my kids invite friends who don’t attend Central Baptist Church?
Yes! We love it when Central Kids invite friends to come with them!

What time should we arrive?

Check-in will begin at 5:00 p.m. After being checked in and receiving a security tag, K - 4th grade will be dropped off in the Worship Center and 5th & 6th grade will go upstairs towards the Student Center for their designated drop off point.

Where will I pick up my child?

Your child will be picked up by an adult with the appropriate security tag in the designated area for that grade.

What’s Family Night?
Family night is fun for all ages. It begins in the Worship Center with a quick recap of our week and a high energy time of family worship, followed by outdoor games, bounce houses, and food trucks. This is not a drop-off night. Parents or guardians must remain with their child throughout the evening.

Do you need volunteers?
Yes! We have a place for you to help, whether it’s food, check-in, games, or walking with kids from point A to point B. Sign up here to serve at VBS and contact Pastor Jamal Rodgers at jrodgers@cbcj.net if you have any questions.
