Dear Church Family,

Given the situation around the global spread of the COVID-19 virus, know that we are praying for you, our city, state, nation, and for our world.

At the same time, we want to be respectful of our local, state, and national leaders and medical professionals who tell us one of the best ways to stop the spread of COVID-19 is through social distancing. Being that we are one of the area’s largest gathering spaces, our leadership team has decided that we are moving our church services online and will not gather at any of our physical locations, untile further notice. We are thankful for technology that allows everyone to gather wherever you are and worship with us, “live” online this Sunday at our normal worship times, 8, 9:30, or 11am for our Jonesboro Campus and 9:30 or 11am for our Paragould Campus.

This is not a decision we have made out of fear, but faith. While COVID-19 is impacting our cities, nation and our world in a very significant way, we are confident God is still in control. There has never been a moment our God was not loving, and to this day He has a purpose and a plan for our lives and this world.

Again this Sunday, our Jonesboro Campus will broadcast online only at 8, 9:30, and 11am, and our Paragould Campus will broadcast online only at 9:30 and 11am.

  • For your mobile devices, you can download the Central Baptist Jonesboro app from your App Store.

  • You can also download the CBC app on your television’s Apple TV or Roku device.

  • Our live stream services will also be available on Facebook or YouTube, just follow us at Central Baptist Jonesboro and Central Baptist Paragould Campus.

Plus, you can live stream our Central Campus directly from our website as well,

If someone asks why your church chose to respond to this health crisis by closing its doors, here’s our response:

  1. We are loving our neighbors by protecting our neighbors.
  2. We are not being fearful. We are being responsible.
  3. This is what love requires of us in this season.

Church offices are closed and there will be no onsite services or large group activities until further notice.

Parents Day Out activities will follow the Jonesboro Public Schools schedule.

All Life Groups will be meeting in an online format. Your individual life group leaders will be in touch with you about specifics.

Please continue to worship through your generous giving.

Know that we are continuously monitoring the situation and will update you as more information becomes available.

Please pray that God will bless, protect, and heal those suffering from the coronavirus, those working to treat the infected, and those working to combat the disease.

Please pray that this outbreak would diminish, so the spreading of the Gospel will continue to go forward.

At this time, all mission trips are cancelled through the end of June.

Our leadership team is constantly monitoring the world-wide situation as it pertains to mission trips and we are in communication with churches that have similar missions’ programs. Any decisions to cancel any of our mission trips will be made in a timely manner after corroboration with the missionaries in each area. This decision will be based on facts gathered from expert entities (CDC and WHO), and with protection, health, and well-being for our mission team members as the most important consideration.

We are also actively monitoring the COVID-19 situation here in Northeast Arkansas and, if needed, will provide more information on a contingency plan in response to an escalation of the virus. The uncertainty of this outbreak is creating anxiety in our workplaces, schools, and day-to-day activities, yet we remain certain of God’s steadfast presence and careful attention to all that is happening. Please pray that God will bless, protect, and heal those suffering from the coronavirus, those working to treat the infected, and those working to combat the disease. Please pray that this outbreak would diminish, so the spreading of the Gospel will continue to go forward.
