Pastors

  • Dr. Archie Mason Senior Pastor

    Dr. Mason was born on March 16, 1965. On June 10, 1988, he married his wife, Angie, and they have two sons, Tyler and Taylor. His wife, Angie, is a second grade teacher at Valley View Elementary. He has a Bachelor of Science in Agri-Business, a Masters of Divinity from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, and a D.Min. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Before being called to ministry, Dr. Mason was President of Professional Agricultural Services Inc. and Vice-President of Farm Financial Services Inc. in Wynne, Arkansas. He is an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoys being in the outdoors, and has a passion to reach the world for Christ. Dr. Mason came to Central Baptist Church as Senior Pastor in February 2005. He was Vice-President of the 2012 SBC Pastors Conference, June 17-18, 2012, in New Orleans, serves as an adjunct professor for Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary at the Jonesboro Extension, and is currently serving as the President of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention.

     

     

  • Dan Reeves Lead Campus Teaching Pastor/Journey Campus Teaching Pastor

    Pastor Dan Reeves currently serves as the Lead Campus Teaching Pastor here at Central.  Born on July 4, 1973, Dan grew up in Jonesboro and joined Central Baptist church as a teenager in 1987.  Since that time, Dan achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies/Biblical Languages from Ouachita Baptist University and is working toward his Master’s of Christian Studies from Union University.  Dan worked bi-vocationally in ministry for several years while owning and operating two construction companies.  Before coming to serve on staff at Central as College Pastor in 2007, Dan served as Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church in Marked Tree, Arkansas.  Dan is married to Veronica who teaches senior high English at Ridgefield Christian School.  They have 3 daughters – Camryn, Carson, and Callie.   Dan enjoys Chicago Cubs baseball, carpentry, fishing, and art.  He has a passion for helping people to know and understand God’s Word, to live their lives in light of the Gospel, and to invest their lives in the world around them.  

  • Jamar Andrews Word Campus Teaching Pastor

    Pastor Jamar Andrews is a native of Jonesboro, AR. On December 15, 2007, he married his wife Stephanie; they have one daughter, Eva. Stephanie is a Homemaker and serves in the Children’s Ministry. Jamar has a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Arkansas State University, and is completing a Master of Arts in Islamic Studies from Southwestern Seminary.  He enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports, fishing, and watching the Tennessee Titans.  Pastor Jamar came to Central Baptist Church on July 23, 2012 to serve as the Campus Teaching Pastor at Word Campus. He has a passion to see North Jonesboro reached with the gospel by reaching people we have not yet reached, leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, and disciple them to lead others to Christ.

  • Bobby Cole Campus Pastor, Refuge Campus

    Bobby has been an active member of Central since 2001, where he has served actively as a Deacon, in Missions, and in many other areas of Ministry. Bobby attended ASU and majored in Business Administration. After spending many years in the business arena, he realized that God was leading him to make a life changing decision. In 2007, Bobby publicly surrendered to God's call on his life into the Ministry.He joined the staff at Central, and served as Ministries Pastor, Connections Pastor, Pastor of the 1st Impressions, and Singles Ministry from 2008-2014. He currently serves as Campus Pastor, Refuge Campus.

  • Justin Arbuckle Lead Discipleship Pastor

    Justin is married to Nicole and they have two kids, Kate and John. Justin has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Bible from Southwest Baptist University, a Master of Divinity degree and a Master of Theology in Philosophy of Religion both from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Justin began serving as Lead Discipleship Pastor on June 1, 2014.

  • Larry Bailey Missions Pastor

    Larry is married to Sheila with no children. Larry has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Arkansas State University and did his mission preparation at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. He began his ministry with the International Mission Board as an appointed career missionary in Togo, West Africa in 1983. He came to Central Baptist as Missions Pastor on January 25, 1993.

  • Don Blackmore Executive Pastor of Family Ministry and Leadership Development

    Don Blackmore is married to Barbara and they have four daughters, Allison Gary (Husband Daniel and daughter Grace), Meagen Greer (Husband Rob), Anna, and Katie. Don attended Williams Baptist College and continued his education at Ouachita Baptist University earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Christian Ministries in 1983.  He served on staff at Ouachita for two years in Admissions Counseling and then on staff as Minister of Education at Second Baptist Church, Arkadelphia.  In 1990 he earned a Masters of Arts in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ft. Worth, Texas. He has served churches in Arkansas and Kentucky.  He came to Central Baptist Church as Discipleship Pastor in June 2006. Don oversees the adult Discipleship Ministry and also leads the Age-graded staff.  His passion is helping equip people to “be and make disciples.”  

  • Walter Bowen Word Campus Discipleship Pastor

    Walter and his wife Purnima have a passion to help people know and follow Jesus Christ. Walter has a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from Arkansas State University and a Masters of Divinity in People Group Strategies from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Walter and Purnima were serving in Sub-Saharan Africa with the International Mission Board until God called them back the United States in 2013. He began serving as the Word Campus Discipleship Pastor on August 19, 2014.

  • Tyler Burleson Journey Campus Worship Pastor

    Tyler is married to Kristen.  Tyler graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Music in Church Music.  He began his ministry in 2010 as High School Student Minister at FBC Brandon, MS.  He began serving as the Journey Campus Worship Pastor in May 2013.

  • John Caubble Executive Pastor of Administration and Assimilation

    John is married to Leslie and they have two sons, Jonathan and Jared.  John has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies from Ouachita Baptist University and a Master of Christian Education from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary.  He began serving as Ministries Pastor on February 13, 2012.

  • Hayes Howell Journey Campus Discipleship Pastor

    Hayes is married to Elizabeth and they have two daughters, Grace is 5 and Elise is 2.  After graduating from Valley View he received a Bachelors degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry along with a Master of Business Administration from Arkansas State.  Hayes spent 5 years in manufacturing logistics and during that time he felt called into full time vocational ministry.  He will graduate in December of 2013 with a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  After joining the team as  Student Ministry Intern in January of 2013 Hayes joined the team full time as the Journey Campus Student Pastor on September 16, 2013.  

  • Blake Ligon Student Pastor

    Blake and Joy have a passion to see students become authentic disciples of Jesus Christ.  Blake sees his role here at Central as being a shepherd, along side Justin, to not only students, but also their parents, and the Life Group leaders.  He loves preaching, teaching, and small group discipleship.  Blake graduated from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in May 2011.  He came to Central Baptist Church on May 21, 2011.    

     

     

  • Mike Martin Pastor to Sr. Adults and Pastoral Care

    Mike is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas. He is married to Margaret, and they have one son, Bryan, who is married to LaDonna, and they have one grandson, Joshua. Mike is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

  • Matt Miller Worship Leader Associate

    Matt is married to Sarah Beth and they are expecting their first child in June 2014. Matt has a Bachelor Degree in Communication Studies from Arkansas State University. He has served as a Worship Leader in the local church and various other ministries and events for eleven years. Matt began full-time on staff at Central Baptist Church on January 2, 2014.

  • Jeff Stotts Worship Pastor

    Jeff Stotts is a native of Forrest City, Arkansas and a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University. Jeff surrendered to the ministry in 1987 and began serving the First Baptist Church of Mayflower, Arkansas. In 1990 Jeff began his 11 years of service at the First Baptist Church of Morrilton, Arkansas. In 2001, God took Jeff and family to Putnam City Baptist Church in Oklahoma City where Jeff served for two years. In 2003, the Lord brought Jeff and his family back to Arkansas where he served at Wynne Baptist Church in Wynne as Associate Pastor of Worship. In May 2005, Jeff felt the Lord calling him and his family to Jonesboro and he accepted the call to become Worship Pastor at Central.

    Jeff and his wife Wendy were married in 1989. They have two sons, Wade and Will, and one daughter, Melody. Jeff's passion is worshipping God and leading others into Spirit filled worship.

  • Ryan West Journey Campus Student Pastor

    Ryan is married to Ra’Shele, and they have one son, Sylas.  Ryan attended Williams Baptist College where he obtained a degree in Christian Ministries with emphasis in Youth Ministry and Religious Education.  He began serving in ministry in Hot Springs, Arkansas in 2011.  He began serving as the Journey Campus Student Pastor in September 2014.

  • Gene McMorries Business Administrator

    Gene is married to Barbara. They have four children-Lauren Smee, Kathryn Heller, Philip, and Stephen. Gene has a B.S. degree in Agri-Business from Murray State University, Murray, KY. He has worked at Central since October 1978.

  • Rachel Abanathy Journey Campus Worship and College Assistant

    Rachel is married to Stephen. She began her ministry at Central in March of 2008 and has worked in many different areas including the media team and creative team. Rachel is passionate about leading the body of Christ in worship and college students. She graduated from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock in 2005 where she studied communications and music.

  • Susan Blevins Administrative Assistant of Word Campus

    Susan is a retired teacher. She has two grown daughters, Cassie Blevins and Callie (husband, Marshal) Bakker. She began working at Central in January of 2013.

  • Judy Chester Administrative Assistant of Finance

    Judy married her high school sweetheart, Dan, and they have two great sons, Jason and Jared, and a wonderful daughter-in-law, Laurie (married to Jared). She graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor of Music Education degree with studies in Flute. Judy began work at Central in August 1994 as Assistant to the Music and Worship Ministry and since January 2007 works as Assistant to the Preschool, Children, and Student Ministries.

  • Leslie Fernatt Connections Ministry Assistant

    Leslie has been a member of Central since 1998, and serves actively as a Critter Creek preschool teacher, as team leader for "Connections Café" the church coffee bar, in local, national and international missions, and in many other areas of ministry. Leslie has degrees in Psychology and Interior Design, and enjoys catering as one of many hobbies.

  • Amy Hedger Journey Campus Assistant

    Amy is married to Chris. They have three children, Nat, Megan, and Cameron. She has a bachelor's degree in History from Arkansas State University. She served for 13 years in the medical field as an Administrative Assistant before coming to Central in 2006. She serves as the Journey Campus Assistant.

  • Beverly Lutrell Assistant to Senior Pastor and Worship Pastor

    Beverly began serving at Central in February of 1998. She is married to Dwain and they have two grown sons, Chad Marcus Lutrell and Chad Lewis Jarrett. Beverly serves as Assistant to the Senior Pastor, Worship Pastor, and Ministries Pastor.

  • Jeff Brown Broadcast Editor/Creative Team

    Jeff has grown up in Central and has been a member of the praise band since 2000. He is blessed with a wonderful family, his wife Stacey and his twins Adam and Jana. A graduate of Arkansas State University, Jeff has a Bachelor's of Science in Human Resources and a Master's of Business Administration, but his passion has always been playing and producing music and film score. After working in many different fields over the years, Jeff is grateful to use his talents that God his given him for the glory of the Lord.

  • Brad Crawley Director of Information Technology

    Brad has grown up in Central and has been serving in various areas including managing the church’s IT infrastructure, serving as deacon, serving in Awana, and serving in various areas on the media team.  A graduate of Arkansas State University, Brad has a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems with an emphasis on Data and Telecommunications.  Brad joined the staff of Central Baptist on January 1, 2014, serving as Director of Information Technology for all campus locations.  Prior to joining the staff of Central, Brad worked in the banking industry as an IT administrator for over 16 years.  Brad and his wife Ann were married in 1997.  They have one daughter, Bethany, and two sons, Braden and James Henry.

  • Adam Hatmaker Technical Arts Director

    Adam is a native of Hot Springs, AR.  Starting at the age of 17, working with his Church in the TV Ministry, he found a passion in the technical aspects of all things video, lighting, and sound.  In 2001, he began a 6 year tenure as Chief Editor for an Outdoor Television company, based in Hot Springs, that produced several award winning shows and commercials for the Outdoor Channel and other networks.  In 2007, Adam felt God calling him back to his first passion, TV Ministry.  He uprooted his family and moved to Northwest Arkansas to become Broadcast Editor for Cross Church in Springdale and Rogers.  In 2010, plans were underway to open a new Cross Church campus in Fayetteville, AR, and Adam was hired from within to become Director of Media for that campus, which opened January of 2011.  December of 2012, Adam became the Technical Arts Director for Central Baptist.  Adam is married to Kristy, and they have 2 children, Sarah and Ethan.

  • Magen Helms Graphic Designer/Creative Team

    Magen is married to Kyle and serves as the Graphic Designer at Central Baptist Church. Originally from Blytheville, AR she is the daughter of Ralph and Peggy Hill and a sister to Erin. After graduating high school in 2003 she moved to Jonesboro, AR to attend Arkansas State University where she graduated in May 2005 with a bachelors degree in Digital Media and Design.

  • Timi Saffell Administrative Assistant of Media Communications

    Timi began working at Central Baptist in 2013 after having left in 2010. She is married to Reg and they have 3 children and one grandson. Their oldest daughter, Megan, is married to Jimmy Farley and they have one son, Easton. Their son, Hunter, is a senior at Arkansas State University and their youngest daughter, Haven, is a senior at Valley View High School. Reg and Timi have been members of Central Baptist since 2005.

  • Hunter West Director of Creative Arts

    Hunter has been at Central since 2008 when he started volunteering in college ministry and loves being a part of what God has done since. Hunter began serving full time as our Creative Arts Director in June of 2014. He is a graduate of Arkansas State University with a degree in Radio-Television and when he's not making or watching movies he is spending time with his wonderful wife Debbie, 2 year old daughter Elliott, and soon to be born son Jude.
